The framework a former tech would use
This worksheet is what I'd hand a family member sitting across a table from an HVAC contractor — the questions to ask, the numbers to check, and the tells that separate a fair job from a padded one. Written down. In plain language. In their hands before they sign.
Set thirty minutes aside, work through it section by section with your quote next to you. By the last page you'll know where the money is going — and you'll have specific questions to put to the contractor before you approve anything.
What's in it

License number lookup, insurance, how to spot an unlicensed shop, what the business structure tells you about who you're dealing with.
